Connecting With A Single Button: Interview With Carallel’s Chief Product Officer Miraj Chokshi
My conversation with Miraj got a bit personal when he described his work with Carallel helping family caregivers navigate the unwieldy healthcare system in the US. I thought of my mother-in-law, who was caring for her husband in home hospice — stitching together the logistics of an entirely new lifestyle while working full-time and coping with the emotional toll on top of it all. So the need really hit home when Miraj talked about the incredible burden that unpaid family caregivers carry, and how he too experienced these challenges when he fell into the role of caregiver to his mom with Ménière’s disease.
Miraj uses his personal experience to inform his work, recognizing the acute need to reduce cognitive load among both paid and unpaid healthcare workers. In this interview, he shares how he has leveraged behavioral design as a product leader in healthcare to do just this, including simplifying a product down to a single button.
Tell me something I don’t know. (Anything!)
